Coming back with a few new edits to my EP with Enigmatik Records (RIP)
Grouch returns with his much anticipated follow up to the seminal “Organik Mechanic” in the second expedition on this exploratory series we see grouch veer further off the path to forge his own unique approach to broken beat sound sculpting, fusing tightly layered percussion programming, spine tingling groove structures and a world of influence soaked from his tireless work ethic and world travels, Organik Mechanic is a series which see’s Grouch express himself in new and innovative ways, always with maximum approachability whilst retaining a healthy dose of thought out sound design ensuring there is a perfect mix to accommodate for all kinds of music lovers.
From the tech vibes of “Acid Tested” with crisp granulations of encrusted percussional layers, its groove focused basslines swelling in monumental fashion while layers unfold like the first leaves of spring, to the percussional focused “exile” where tripped out grooves elevate a imaginative composition into a fusion of liquid modulated bassline and ethnic entranced soundscapes. Finally “lysergic” is a mid tempo transmigration through a palette of fractured wobbles and distinctive beat structures, reinforced with an array of imaginative dub layers.
The release is rounded out with a remix from Australian up and coming artist Itsu who took out the remix competition to cement his place on part 2, lashings of experimentation and triplet stepped beats mangle into a foray of twisted foley sculpting and shattered drum layers, providing a definitive end to a release rock solid from start to end
